The Disease Epidemics Department is responsible for the multi-sector coordination of the preparedness planning in collaboration with Ghana Health Service, key national stakeholders, and the UN System.

Design and develop a control mechanism that ensures accurate and timely financial reporting in all areas of NADMO.

Fires & Lightning

Disaster Risk Reduction at the community level, through livelihood development activities, training in domestic, bush/wild, ecological, and market fires.

Geological Hazards
Director of Geological Hazards
Most geological hazard types are natural but can be triggered through human activities. NADMO coordinates responses to earthquakes, tsunamis, soil erosion, and coastal erosion.

The Hydrometeorological Disasters Department serves as the secretariat for the National Technical Committee with responsibilities including mapping of flood prone areas.

The Department is active in disaster relief, post-emergency recovery projects as well as risk reduction. Ensures distribution of relief items to regions and districts.

Collaborates with UN Agencies like UNHCR, UNICEF, and UNFPA. Conducts regular damage assessment visits to conflict areas.
